Samsung India has announced the 2026 edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), the company's flagship corporate social responsibility programme built around technology skilling. <The 2026 edition will be implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). Through these collaborations, Samsung aims to train 20,000 young people in AI across 10 states, expanding access to industry-relevant AI education and helping strengthen India's future AI talent pipeline.
The announcement coincides with Samsung's 30th anniversary of operations in India — making it a moment that carries weight both as a corporate milestone and as a signal of where the company sees its long-term investment priorities.
What the Programme Offers
Now in its fourth year in India, the 2026 edition of SIC is its most AI-focused to date. SIC will provide young people aged 18–25 with hands-on AI training, project-based learning, mentorship, and exposure to real-world applications, preparing them for careers in one of the world's fastest-growing technology domains.
The structure goes beyond textbook instruction. Beyond technical learning, the programme is designed to cultivate problem-solving, critical thinking and collaboration, enabling participants to build practical AI solutions while enhancing their career readiness.
Four Years In: What SIC Has Built So Far
Launched in India in 2022, SIC has trained more than 26,500 young people across the country in emerging technologies. In 2025, the programme witnessed 48% women participation, making advanced technology education more accessible to aspiring learners from diverse backgrounds. The 2026 target of 20,000 new learners would, if met, represent a significant single-year expansion relative to the programme's four-year cumulative total. It also signals that Samsung is treating AI skilling as a growth area within its CSR commitments rather than a stable, steady-state initiative.
What Samsung's CEO Said
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia, framed the launch around India's broader AI ambitions:
AI represents one of the greatest opportunities of our time, and India is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation through the strength of its young talent. Realising that opportunity will require sustained investment in developing the right skills, encouraging innovation and making AI education more accessible to every aspiring learner, regardless of where they come from. At Samsung, we believe technology creates its greatest impact when it empowers people. Through SIC, we are investing in the next generation of AI talent, helping young Indians build the knowledge, confidence and practical experience needed to contribute to India's innovation journey. Part of a Wider Samsung India Skilling Ecosystem
SIC does not sit alone within Samsung's India CSR portfolio. SIC is part of Samsung's broader commitment to strengthening India's innovation and skilling ecosystem. Alongside initiatives such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, which nurtures young innovators and entrepreneurs, and Samsung DOST, which develops industry-ready talent for sales and technical service roles, Samsung continues to invest in building the skills, capabilities and innovation mindset that will help power India's AI-driven future.<
The three-pronged structure — campus-level AI skilling (SIC), innovation challenges (Solve for Tomorrow), and vocational readiness (DOST) — points to a deliberate attempt to cover different layers of the talent pipeline rather than concentrate investment in a single tier.
The Bigger Picture
With 20,000 more learners set to enter the programme this year, Samsung is betting that India's next AI advantage will come not only from computing power and technology, but from the people trained to put them to work.
Samsung is not the only tech major investing in India's AI talent pipeline, but the combination of sector-council partnerships (ESSCI and TSSC), a focus on the 18–25 age bracket, and a stated target spread across 10 states gives SIC a reach that few comparable programmes have matched so far.
Applications and enrolment details for the 2026 Samsung Innovation Campus are expected to be shared through Samsung's official channels and its ESSCI and TSSC partners.
