GodLike Esports and Orangutan will enter the final day of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 with plenty of work ahead after a challenging opening two days in Paris.
GodLike finished Day 2 in 12th place with 57 points, while Orangutan ended the day in 15th with 45 points. Both Indian teams now need a strong final-day performance to climb the standings and finish their historic campaign on a high.
The championship remains open under the Smash Rule format. However, with the leading teams already above 100 points, GodLike and Orangutan face a difficult route into title contention.
PMWC 2026 standings after Day 2
Thailand’s eArena leads the Grand Finals with 112 points after 12 matches. NS RedForce follows with 105 points, while Aurora Gaming and S2G Esports remain close behind.
The official Esports World Cup leaderboard places GodLike 12th and Orangutan 15th heading into the final day.

Only six points separate GodLike from Team Flash in 10th place. The Indian squad is also one point behind Nepal’s Horaa Esports, giving it a realistic opportunity to enter the top 10.
Orangutan has a more difficult route from 15th place. Still, a high-scoring game could move the team above IDA Esports and BTR Vitality.
GodLike finds an important Chicken Dinner
GodLike secured an important Chicken Dinner during Day 2, helping the team recover from a difficult start to the Grand Finals. The victory was highlighted by Sports Yaari.
The Indian squad completed its first 12 matches with 57 points. Its immediate objective on the final day will be to overtake Horaa Esports and Team Flash before attempting to challenge teams higher up the standings.
GodLike has shown that it can produce aggressive, high-elimination matches. However, early eliminations alone may not be enough. The squad must also survive into the final circles and convert strong starts into placement points.
One or two high-scoring games could quickly improve GodLike’s position, particularly if the teams immediately ahead struggle.
Orangutan needs a major turnaround
Orangutan enters the final day with 45 points after an inconsistent run during the opening two days.
That performance contrasts with its impressive Group Stage campaign, where the team finished second in Group A with 91 points. GodLike also entered the Grand Finals in strong form after placing third in Group B with 105 points.
As covered in SpecFront’s earlier PMWC Grand Final lineup report, those results made GodLike and Orangutan the first Indian teams to qualify for the PUBG Mobile World Cup Grand Finals.

Orangutan must now rediscover that earlier form. Better rotations, cleaner early-game fights and stronger final-circle positioning could help the team climb several places.
PMWC 2026 final-day schedule
Six matches are scheduled for the final day across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar. The action begins at 4:30 PM IST.

The tournament could potentially be decided before all six matches are completed if an eligible team fulfils the Smash Rule condition.
How the Smash Rule could decide the champion
The initial Match Point threshold for the PMWC 2026 final day is set at 122 points.
A team does not become champion merely by reaching that total. After crossing the threshold, it becomes Match Point Eligible and must then secure a Chicken Dinner in a subsequent match to win the tournament.
For example, eArena begins the day with 112 points and requires only 10 more to cross the initial threshold. Even after reaching 122, the team must win a later match to claim the championship.
NS RedForce, Aurora Gaming and S2G Esports are also positioned to become eligible early in the final day.
If no eligible team secures the required Chicken Dinner within the permitted number of matches, the champion will be determined according to the tournament’s final standings. The format is detailed on the official Esports World Cup competition page.
Can GodLike or Orangutan still win?
GodLike remains mathematically in contention but begins the final day 65 points below the initial threshold. Reaching it would require an exceptional run involving high-elimination matches, strong placements and possibly multiple Chicken Dinners.
A top-10 finish is a more realistic immediate target, although the team could climb further if it produces several strong games.
Orangutan starts 77 points below the threshold. Its title chances are therefore extremely limited, but the team still has six opportunities to improve its position and end the tournament positively.
A historic campaign for Indian esports
Regardless of the final positions, having two Indian teams in the PMWC Grand Finals represents a significant milestone for the country’s competitive mobile-gaming scene.
GodLike and Orangutan qualified through strong performances against leading teams from Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe and other regions.
The final day gives both squads another chance to demonstrate that Indian teams can compete on PUBG Mobile’s biggest international stages.
