Free Fire India has once again caught the attention of Indian mobile gamers after its official Google Play listing was spotted still live.
The page looks convincing because it is genuine. The Free Fire India listing on Google Play is published under Garena International III, uses the package ID com.garena.game.ffi, and even carries the dedicated support email freefireindia@garena.com.
But there is an important distinction: the existence of the Google Play listing does not mean Free Fire India has officially launched in India.
Here is what we could verify about the long-delayed game and where things currently stand.
Yes, Free Fire India Is a Real Garena Game
Free Fire India is not a fake app or an unofficial copy of Free Fire.
Garena officially announced the India-specific version of its battle royale game in August 2023, with a launch originally scheduled for September 5, 2023.
