India’s already crowded budget smartphone market is about to welcome another competitor. Boltt, the smartphone brand backed by Fire-Boltt, is preparing to launch its first smartphones in India on August 25, 2026.
The company will begin its smartphone journey with two models — the Boltt Evo 4G and Boltt Ace 5G — giving buyers both 4G and 5G options.
According to FoneArena, the two smartphones will officially launch in India on August 25 at 12 PM IST. The company is entering the highly competitive affordable smartphone segment, with Flipkart serving as a key online sales partner.
Fire-Boltt Is Moving Beyond Smartwatches
Fire-Boltt is already a familiar name in India’s affordable smartwatch market, but smartphones represent a much bigger step for the company.
Instead of simply putting the Fire-Boltt name on a smartphone, the company is entering the category through its Boltt brand.
According to 91mobiles, Boltt is targeting India’s affordable smartphone market and has partnered with Flipkart for online availability. The company also has the advantage of Fire-Boltt’s existing presence and distribution experience in the country.
That could become particularly useful as Boltt tries to reach consumers beyond major cities and establish itself against smartphone brands that have spent years building their retail and service networks.
The company has also positioned its upcoming devices as smartphones made for the Indian market, with local manufacturing forming part of its broader strategy.
Boltt Evo 4G: What to Expect
The Boltt Evo 4G will serve as the 4G option in the company’s debut smartphone lineup.
While earlier information about the device was largely based on leaks and benchmark listings, Boltt has now confirmed several important specifications ahead of launch.
According to FoneArena, the Evo 4G and Ace 5G will feature a 6.79-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and run Android 16 with a bloatware-free software experience.

Fire-Boltt’s existing brand recognition gives Boltt a better starting point than a completely unknown smartphone company, but success is far from guaranteed.
